Bethlehem University Requests Prayers

Bethlehem-Univ-logoBethlehem University in the Holy Land is requesting prayers as the crisis in Gaza continues. The University sent a message Thursday, July 24 to graduates, friends, and supporters of Bethlehem with information on how the violence is impacting graduates.

“To all our graduates in the Gaza Strip, we are praying for you and hope this will come to an end very soon,” Brother Stephen Tuohy, FSC, Vice President for Advancement for Bethlehem University, wrote in the message. “To all our friends and supporters, we ask you to pray for the people of Gaza at these hard times, and we also ask you to pray for us so that Bethlehem University may continue to be a ‘Beacon of Hope and an Oasis of Peace’ in this Holy, but troubled Land.”

The University was closed Monday, July 21 as part of the Palestine-wide General Strike in protest at the ongoing killing in Gaza.
