The Br. David Darst Center in Chicago, Illinois, will honor the Brother Visitors of the Districts of Eastern North America (DENA), Midwest and San Francisco New Orleans (SFNO) in recognition of their ongoing support and promotion of justice education in the Lasallian tradition. Their support allowed the Darst Center to continue to offer programming during the COVID-19 pandemic. The award will be presented at the Br. David Darst Center send-off party April 24, 2021, which the center will host as it prepares to move to a new location.
The Br. Denis Murphy Justice in Action Award is in memory of Brother Denis Murphy, FSC, one of the co-founders and first directors of the Darst Center. The award is presented to an individual, organization or foundation from outside the Darst Center who has a strong dedication to social justice, has made contributions to education and has provided service to the community.
