De La Salle Biography Now Available in French

The Teacher’s Saint, a short biography of Saint John Baptist de La Salle written by Brother George Van Grieken, FSC, is now available in French. Translated by Brother Pierre Ouatarra, FSC, and edited by Brother Florent Gaudreault, FSC, and Brother Edwin Arteaga, FSC, Le saint enseignant is the French translation of the original English text. The book tells the story of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and patron saint of teachers. Led by his faith, De La Salle developed new ways of educating the poor in 17th century France. Today, his legacy continues to shape the world of education and serves as an inspiration for educators worldwide.
