Lasallians in Louisiana are cleaning up after Hurricane Isaac hit the area. No significant damage was reported at any of the schools or communities in the storm’s path.
Cleanup of minor water damage is underway at De La Salle High School in New Orleans, and Saint Paul’s School in Covington is cleaning up after some wind damage. De La Salle, Saint Paul’s, Christian Brothers School in New Orleans and Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie will all reopen Tuesday, September 4. The Provincialate will also reopen Tuesday.
Power has been restored to Saint Paul’s Community and Crouzet Community in Covington. Power is still out at the Christian Brothers School Community and the Joe Porter Community in New Orleans with Christian Brothers School Community running on generator power.
The Holy Family Community in Lafayette is safe, but still had rain and gusting winds Friday afternoon with conditions expected to improve.
