Lasallian Women of Hope (LWH) has partnered with FairTrade Caravans to launch its second annual #LWHSpringFundraiser to raise money to support young women attending Lasallian ministries around the world. This fundraiser will take place from April 8-25, with LWH receiving 25% of proceeds from the FairTrade Caravans product sales. Select LWH at checkout to secure the donation. The fundraising goal is $1,500, which will help establish a new program in Rwanda and expand the program in Kenya. Proceeds from the recent Christmas fundraiser with FairTrade Caravans helped to fund a new STEM program for girls in Madagascar and a new health education program in India.
FairTrade Caravans’ products are made in safe working conditions with sustainable practices. They do not use child labor and offer fair pay for all employees. While the spring fundraiser offers an opportunity to bring attention to and fundraise for LWH, LWH is one of four initiatives that FairTrade Caravans supports as fundraiser throughout the year by selecting LWH at checkout.
A project of the Solidarity and Development Secretariat, LWH fosters educational access, empowers girls and women, and creates sustainable change. Its mission is to ensure girls and women enjoy full access to education. LWH began as a small project providing grassroots female empowerment while developing sustainable solutions to mitigate obstacles impeding educational access.
