LVs Ride cyclists dipped their bike tires in the Pacific Ocean June 16 in Astoria, OR kicking off a 3,600-mile cross-country ride to support the work of Lasallian Volunteers, raise awareness about poverty, and encourage service. Riders lived their mission of service by participating in volunteer work on stops along the way. A total of approximately 50 riders joined at various points including national, regional, and day riders. Twenty-one riders splashed into the Atlantic Ocean in Long Branch, NJ August 13 to end the ride. LVs Ride has raised approximately $92,200 of its $100,000 goal. Read more at www.lvsride.com.
