Brennan O’Donnell, Ph.D., president of Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY, has been elected to the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) 2011-2012 Board of Trustees. O’Donnell was also appointed to serve on the finance and administrative committee of CICU’s board.
CICU’s Board of Trustees represents chief executives of New York’s more than 100 independent (private, not-for-profit) colleges and universities. It advances higher education public policy at the state and federal level. CICU member campuses enroll more than 477,000 students.
“CICU plays a vital role in assuring that New York’s independent colleges and universities continue to prosper in service to their students and their communities; it is an honor to be elected to the Board,” said O’Donnell.
