Music Ministry Alive! is accepting applications for the summer 2015 session, which is a five-day program for youth and adult leaders who have a passion for liturgical music and want to serve as ministers in their parishes and schools.
Young people in grades 10, 11 or 12, or in their first or second year of college, are invited to participate. Applicants should currently be involved in music ministry in their parishes or schools. The program also offers an adult track for adults who are involved in mentoring young people.
Music Ministry Alive! was founded in 1999 by internationally known composer, author, teacher and liturgical musician, David Hass, who is also the campus minister at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, Minnesota. At the Huether Lasallian Conference in 2014, Hass led prayer for the opening session and performed a concert for participants.
