The latest volume of AXIS: Journal of Lasallian Higher Education is now available. Christian Brothers Conference published Volume 15, Number 1 in July 2024.
In the first article, Brother William Mann, FSC, D.Min., AXIS editor-in-chief, marks the 15th anniversary of AXIS by recounting how it began and tracking its transition to today’s publication. He notes the initial vision was that AXIS “welcomes and continuously reviews scholarly and creative works which contribute to collective knowledge of the shared Lasallian mission in higher education contexts.”
In accordance and resonance with this vision, the new volume offers scholarly works in theology, spirituality, formation, education, nursing, liberal arts and the lived Lasallian experience. The articles present diverse Lasallian voices in experience, academic discipline and perspective, but coalesce around shared association.
AXIS is under the leadership of the six Lasallian institutions of higher education in the United States, Christian Brothers University, La Salle University, Lewis University, Manhattan College, Saint Mary’s College of California, and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, in collaboration with Christian Brothers Conference.
