An innovative new role will support Lasallian higher education institutions in the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN). As the liaison to Lasallian Association of Colleges and Universities (LACU), Dr. Colette Geary will lead the effort to connect the six colleges and universities and look for strategic partnerships. She will assess LACU needs and opportunities, with the goal of working together and by association to support opportunities for greater collaboration. She will work with the presidents and other leaders of the Lasallian colleges and universities, along with the Visitors and other leaders in the District and Regional offices.
The six Lasallian institutions of higher education that will be served through this new role are Christian Brothers University, La Salle University, Lewis University, Manhattan College, Saint Mary’s College of California and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Dr. Geary has extensive experience in higher education, most recently having served as the interim vice president for mission and strategic initiatives at Manhattan College in New York after three years as interim vice president for enrollment management. She previously served for five years as Manhattan’s dean of students. A Manhattan College graduate, Dr. Geary served as president of the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, and in various leadership roles at the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, New York.
