A new video from Brother Superior General Robert Schieler, FSC, regarding the 300th anniversary of the death of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, which occurs April 7, 2019, and the ongoing Year of Lasallian Vocations, is now available.
In the video, Brother Robert speaks with Dr. Maggie McGuinness, professor of religion and theology and former vice president for mission at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Brother Robert speaks about the opportunities presented to Brothers and Lasallian Partners during this year, including asking Brothers to reflect on what they are being called to today; recognizing that this year is an opportunity to acknowledge, appreciate and support all Lasallian vocations and the thousands of women and men who are living their own vocation through the Lasallian charism; and urging the Brothers to consciously, creatively and consistently invite young people into communities to experience life as Brothers and for young men to consider the life of a Brother.
