2013 Research Symposium: (L-R) Alan Weyland, Brother Robert Schieler, Dr. Greg Kopra

The planning committee for the third annual Symposium on Lasallian Research is accepting proposals for papers or presentations to be presented at the symposium. It will be held September 28 – 30, 2014, at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus.

Saint Mary’s Institute for Lasallian Studies hosts the event, which the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) co-sponsors. The first symposium was held in 2012, and it expanded in 2013 to almost double the number of participants, including an international presence.

For this third symposium, papers or presentations on the research themes the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU) developed are preferred. However, the planning committee will consider others. The IALU themes include:

  1. Education and learning innovations
  2. Food, nutrition, and health
  3. Environmental sustainability

Proposals should be no more than one page in length and should include the title of the paper/presentation, audience, and a brief abstract of the paper or description of the presentation. Presentations should be 50 minutes in length including time for questions and discussion.

Proposals should be submitted no later than June 30, 2014, to Roxanne Eubank at reubank@smumn.edu.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
