Registration is underway for the 8th International Symposium on Lasallian Research. The symposium will be held September 20-22, 2019, on the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus in Minneapolis. The deadline to book hotel reservations is September 9.
Keynote addresses will be given by Brother Andrés Govela, FSC, president of the International Association of La Salle Universities (IALU), and Peter Stemp, associate director of De La Salle Solidarietà Internazionale – ONLUS, Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
This yearly symposium, which began in 2012, gathers creative minds to dialogue about the key characteristics or key areas that comprise the field of Lasallian research today; look beyond a study solely of the origins, tradition and heritage in Lasallian research; break open the possibilities for Lasallian research in the 21st century; and propose avenues or topics for future needed Lasallian research. The goal is also to develop a community of scholars committed to supporting, conducting, and publishing Lasallian research. Saint Mary’s Institute for Lasallian Studies hosts the event, which Christian Brothers Conference co-sponsors.
