The 3rd Annual Young Lasallian Spring into Action initiative is underway and ministries around the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) are celebrating service through volunteering and doing something for others. Spring into Action offers a challenge to join other Lasallians to participate and share their experience with others through pictures and social media during the March 15 – April 30 push.

Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, TN, is one school responding to the challenge. Lasallian Youth recently took a trip to Little Rock to learn about global and local hunger issues and work in the Arkansas Food bank.

Service isn’t limited to the Spring into Action time frame as many Lasallians host service projects throughout the year. Sixth graders at San Miguel School of Providence, RI, volunteer weekly at a preschool reading and spending time with the younger students. Lasallian Youth at Saint Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, RI, organized a vacation camp for kids in February focused on recycling. Also, Christian Brothers University in Memphis hosts September of Service: 30 Days of Good Deeds each year. These are some examples Young Lasallians RELAN is highlighting through daily posts on social media.
