Brother Superior General Robert Schieler, FSC, will return to the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) in March for his remaining pastoral visits. He will visit the District of San Francisco New Orleans (March 2-15) before visiting the Midwest District (March 17-29). He will conclude his pastoral visit with a meeting with the Regional Conference of Christian Brothers (April 1-3) in Ocean City, New Jersey. Brother Robert began his pastoral visit in RELAN with visits to the District of Francophone Canada and the District of Eastern North America in October – November 2019. Also in November, he delivered keynote addresses at the 7th Congress of the Association of Lasallian Alumni (UMAEL) and the Huether Lasallian Conference, which were both held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pastoral visits offer the Superior and General Council opportunities to learn about the vitality and viability of the mission in the Region. The visits include meetings with key leadership groups, visiting Brothers in the community setting, and spending time with educators and students. The Superior General conducts one pastoral visit to each Region during his term. RELAN is the fifth and final pastoral visit for Brother Robert.
