Moving from textbooks to touchscreens, La Salle High School of Yakima in Union Gap, WA is changing the way students learn. La Salle’s innovative approach to education is leading the way in central Washington by issuing iPads to replace textbooks starting in August 2012.
The iPads will not only replace traditional textbooks, they will also offer interactive programs, note-taking and book-marking features, videos, tutorials, graphing calculators, dictionaries, and a variety of additional educational tools.
La Salle is the first school in central Washington to offer iPad-based learning.
