New SFNO Brothers Community to Open at La Salle High School

The District of San Francisco New Orleans (SFNO) has announced that a new Brothers Community will be established at La Salle High School in the Yakima area of Washington state. The community will open in time for the 2025-2026 academic year and will consist of three Brothers: Brother John Montgomery, FSC; Brother Dan Morgan, FSC; and Brother Javier Antonio; FSC.

Brother John will serve as the president of La Salle High School, effective July 1. Current president-principal Ted Kanelopoulos will return to his position as principal.

Brothers Dan and Javier also will work at La Salle High School at the start of the school year. Brother Dan currently serves on the faculty at Saint Mary’s College High School in Berkeley, California, and Brother Javier teaches at San Miguel High School in Tucson, Arizona.

La Salle High School has provided Lasallian Catholic education throughout the Yakima Valley since 1998. “Strong commitment and much love for La Salle exist across the valley and throughout our SFNO District family; as they open this new chapter of the La Salle High School story, the Brothers look forward to their enhanced partnership with the La Salle community,” stated the SFNO announcement.
