The Associated Colleges of Illinois (ACI) named Brother Edmund Siderewicz (Dominican University ’97) a 2008 Alumni Shining Example. Bro. Edmund received the award during ACI’s 56th Annual Meeting on April 17. In keeping with the meeting’s theme, “Teaching Civic Responsibility/Building Successful Communities,” he is an example of the capacity of Illinois’ private, liberal arts-based institutions to prepare the next generation of civic-minded leaders.
Bro. Edmund has dedicated himself to making quality education available to underserved communities. As co-founder and president of San Miguel Schools Chicago, Bro. Edmund is realizing his dream of providing “a human and Christian education” to children who need it most.
