Brother Louis DeThomasis has written a new book. Following his spring 2012 publication, Flying in the Face of Tradition: Listening to the Lived Experience of the Faithful, Bro. Louis’ latest book, Dynamics of Catholic Education: Letting the Catholic School Be School, addresses the important role of Catholic education in spreading the Christian message to new generations in new ways.
He explains how Catholic schools are “not the Catholic church” and how they have a different function. He proposes that Catholic schools follow eight “dynamics” in order to remain true to their calling to educate, inspire, and challenge their students in the changing world of the 21st century.
