Brother Robert Schieler, FSC, has written a book on his experiences of participating in five General Chapters of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. A Charism Ever New, published by Christian Brothers Conference, shares Brother Bob’s reflections of his experiences over nearly three decades of General Chapters, from 1993 to 2022. He participated in the most recent General Chapter in 2022 as Superior General, a role in which he served from 2014-2022. Drawing on Brother Bob’s recollections, the book presents the story of the Institute as it continually evolves while staying committed to its core mission.
The book will be released on February 5, 2025, during a launch event at La Salle University in Philadelphia, which will include a book discussion followed by lunch.
