Bethlehem University Foundation has announced Brother Ronald Gallagher, FSC, Ph.D., as its new executive director, effective February 12, 2021.
Brother Ronald, a De La Salle Christian Brother for over 50 years, served as vice chancellor of Bethlehem University (1993-1997) before he was appointed the Secretary General of the Christian Brothers in Rome (1997-2000). His service has included tenures at Saint Mary’s College of California, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco, Saint Mary’s College High School in Berkeley and Justin-Siena High School in Napa, all in California.
Bethlehem University was founded in 1973 as a joint venture between the Vatican and the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools following the historic visit of Pope Paul VI to the Holy Land in 1964. Bethlehem University Foundation is a not-for-profit organization registered in the United States with the sole mission of supporting and promoting Bethlehem University.
