Brother Thomas Scanlan, FSC, of the District of Eastern North America, died February 4, 2018, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey. He was 73 years old.
Brother Thomas served as president of Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York, from 1987 to 2009. Brother Thomas also served as the second vice chancellor of Bethlehem University in Palestine, from 1982 to 1986 and was on the founding board of the Bethlehem University Foundation.
