Colegio De La Salle in Puerto Rico Joins DENA

Colegio De La Salle in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, is now a ministry of the District of Eastern North America (DENA). The school ceremonially transferred its covenant relationship from the District of Antilles-South Mexico (DAMS) to DENA during a celebration at Colegio De La Salle on August 6, 2021. As a territory of the United States, Puerto Rico and Colegio De La Salle’s educational curriculum follows that of the United States. Instruction is mostly in Spanish, which is the day-to-day language of the school. English is taught at every grade level.

Colegio De La Salle was founded in 1961 by Cuban Brother exiles. The school remained part of the Antilles District until 2008, when the Antilles District merged with South Mexico and formed the District of Antilles-South Mexico (DAMS). Colegio De La Salle is DENA’s first K-12 school.
