Students at De La Salle High School in Concord, CA competed against each other in the Spartan Charity Challenge to determine which class could raise the most money for charitable causes, including Nativity School in Shinara Village, Keren, Eritrea. The competition, which runs from Ash Wednesday through the end of Holy Week, has a goal of $11,500. One quarter of the money raised will benefit Nativity School with the rest going to other causes.
