De La Salle Insitute in Chicago, Illinois, has named Michael Zunica as its next president, effective June 1, 2024.
Previously at the Chicago Board of Trade, Zunica shifted his career toward Catholic high school education in 1996. For over 30 years, he has held roles in Chicago Catholic secondary schools as a baseball coach, athletic director, director of advancement and president.
Zunica is an eight-time Illinois High School Baseball Coach of the Year. He is a member of the Hall of Fame at Saint Xavier University in Chicago (where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration), the Chicago Catholic League Hall of Fame, and the Sports Faith International Hall of Fame.
