DENA Appoints New Associate Director of the Office of Mission and Ministry

The District of Eastern North America (DENA) has announced Justin Martineau as associate director of the Office of Mission and Ministry, effective August 3, 2020.

Martineau will join DENA from the District of San Francisco New Orleans where he served at De La Salle High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, for nine years and worked with SFNO’s Lasallian Student Leaders program, among other contributions. Since 2016, Martineau has served as a community director for the Buttimer Institute of Lasallian Studies, a formation program of the Office for Lasallian Education at Christian Brothers Conference.

“As a community director, Justin exemplified our Lasallian understanding of relationship. He got to know the participants in Buttimer 2. He accompanied them in their sessions on a daily basis. He was with them at meals, prayer and socials. He was always available to facilitate anything that had to be done to meet the needs of participants,” said Mark Freund, executive director of the Office for Lasallian Education. “I wish Justin the best in his new role in DENA and know that his commitment to the Lasallian mission will serve the District well.”

In his new role in DENA, Martineau’s areas of focus will be strengthening association efforts, accompanying and supporting Young Lasallians, and Lasallian education and formation services.
