DENA Leads Twinning Summit to Africa

Participants-with-Lwanga-webThe District of Eastern North America (DENA) 2014 Twinning Summit is underway in Africa. The Summit is a pilot program to visit twin schools in the Lwanga District in an effort to enhance twinning relationships. The two-week program includes an opportunity for participants to share common experiences and hopes for twinning, not only with one another but also with Lasallians in Africa.

The participants began the trip by spending time with Lwanga District administration and novices, and taking part in an immersion experience with Maryknoll Institute of African Studies Program before beginning visits to ministries. Participants are visiting Child Discovery Centre, Rongai Agricultural and Technical School, Mwangaza College, and St. Mary’s Secondary School and Child Rescue Program.
