A final report from the third International Assembly of the Lasallian Educational Mission (AIMEL) is now available. This latest publication of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools provides the outcomes from AIMEL, which was themed “Identity, Vitality, Transformation: Together, We Make it Possible.”
The report shares the assembly’s planning, process, detailed proposals, lines of action and concludes with a letter to the Lasallian family.
Led by the International Council for Association and the Lasallian Educational Mission (CIAMEL), the assembly was originally scheduled for May 2020, then was postponed to October 2020 due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was postponed again to February 2021 before being reimagined into a two-phase format. The first phase began virtually November 10, 2021, and later included a hybrid gathering with the General Council, secretaries of the Institute, AIMEL planning committee members, and working group moderators and secretaries in Rome from March 28 – April 1, 2022. The second phase took place in person from October 29 – November 4, 2022, in Rome.
