Haiti Earthquake

haiti
Haitians crowd the rubble-strewn streets of Port-au-Prince in the aftermath of
Tuesday’s massive earthquake.

The US-Toronto Region joins the Institute in expressing sorrow for the earthquake victims in Haiti. We share the pain and suffering of Haitians caused by this tragic calamity.

None of the Brothers were injured in the devastating earthquake on Tuesday, January 12. The novitiate in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, with its four novices and two staff, are safe. Other than minor damage on the school building in Port-de-Paix, the Brothers’ community in that city and in Ile de la Tortue (Turtle Island) are fine.
