Brother Richard Kestler, president of West Philadelphia Catholic High School, received two high honors in October.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia inducted Bro. Richard into the Archdiocesan Hall of Fame by presenting him with a 2012 Distinguished Graduate Award. The award honors Catholic school alumni who have not only achieved professional success in their chosen fields, but also demonstrate a commitment to living their lives by the Gospel values that guide and define Catholic education in the Archdiocese. Bro. Richard was one of five honored this year.
The day before receiving the Archdiocesan award, La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, PA, formally dedicated Kestler Hall in Bro. Richard’s honor. Bro. Richard is 1960 graduate of the school and served as its president from 2005 until June of 2012 when he moved to West Catholic.
