The 2021 International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP) will begin on September 21 (the United Nations’ sanctioned International Day of Peace) and will run through October 21. The theme for this 15th annual event is “Rise Together for Peace!’’ The theme was developed by a group of Young Lasallians commissioned by the International Coordinator of Young Lasallians. A series of global online activities, including sessions, discussions and celebrations, for this year’s ILDP are being planned. More information and resources will be shared as they become available. RELAN Closing Prayer Service: The Regional Council of Young Lasallians (RCYL) is partnering with moderators and members of the Lasallian Youth groups at La Salle High School in Union Gap, Washington, Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, Illinois, and St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, New York, for a virtual closing prayer service on October 21 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern / 5:30 p.m. Central / 4:30 p.m. Mountain / 3:30 p.m. Pacific. RELAN Opening Prayer Vigil: The Regional Council of Young Lasallians (RCYL) invited Lasallians to take part in an observance of peace to celebrate the launch of International Lasallian Days for Peace on September 21. Lasallians registered individually or with students, clients, communities, colleagues, families, etc. for a 15-minute time slot to join with Lasallians from across the Region in praying for peace.
