Brother Superior General Robert Schieler, FSC, is inviting Lasallians to contribute to an international Lasallian effort to help Ukrainians who are seeking refuge from war.
“Today more than ever we must be instruments of reconciliation and bearers of the bright light of Christian hope,” Brother Robert wrote in a March 2nd letter. “We must work together with all people of good will to dispel the clouds of darkness and banish the winds of war.”
The Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools has launched an international appeal, #LaSalleforUkrainians, to collect funds to help refugees who are crossing the Ukrainian border into other European countries to escape war. Donations will help support humanitarian relief efforts, including providing shelter, food, clothing, medical supplies and other necessities. Donations can be made online.
