A graduate of La Salle High School in Cincinnati, OH, donated $500,000 to the school for scholarships and financial aid. La Salle now hopes to double that amount.
The donation is the largest single pledge from an individual in the school’s history. The donor, who wanted to remain anonymous, cited the impact La Salle had on his life and asked others match his donation by June 30. To help reach the goal, La Salle has launched the “Lancers Helping Lancers” challenge and is accepting contributions.
“This pledge, and the matching funds it will raise, will help La Salle attract and retain the kind of young men we want: those who are committed to excelling in the classroom and preparing for their future, built upon a strong Catholic faith,” said Principal Tom Luebbe ’73.
