Lasallian Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Seventy-one Lasallian students have been named semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, PA has the largest number of students honored with 13 semifinalists. That’s the most among any private, Catholic, or independent school in the State of Pennsylvania. An additional 14 students were recognized as Commended students. In total, 11 percent of the school’s class of 2012 was recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

The approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 57th annual National Merit Scholarship Program are competing for about 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $34 million, which will be awarded next spring.
