Lasallian Volunteers (LV) announced the recipients of the 2012 FSC Awards, which will be presented June 28, 2012 at St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga. The awards recognize outstanding LV supporters chosen this year from nominees in the Districts of San Francisco and New Orleans-Santa Fe. Recipients are honored in the spirit of three Christian Brothers who embody values of Faith, Service and Community.
BJ Cassin, a consistent supporter of the LVs and the San Miguel Schools, will be awarded the Brother John Johnston Faith Award, which recognizes a supporter who has demonstrated great faith in the work of Lasallian Volunteers by sharing time, talent, or treasure.
LV alumnus Chris Giangregorio will receive the Brother Chris Bassen Service Award which recognizes an alumnus who has continued a life of service since volunteering. Giangregorio volunteered from 2001 to 2003 and was recently appointed principal of De Marillac Academy in San Francisco, CA.
Brother Anthony Lenz will be awarded the Brother Michael Farrell Community Award which honors a Brother or Lasallian Partner in Community who has lived with LVs and who holds the community experience in high esteem for himself and shares it with the LVs. Bro. Anthony has been community director of the Saint La Salle Community for 12 years which staffs and serves the Lasallian Educational Opportunities Center in Oakland, CA.
