La Salle Academy in New York, New York, has appointed Nicole Freeman as principal and Candace D. Hammonds as president. Both appointments were effective July 1, 2024.
Freeman has served as La Salle Academy’s assistant principal for academic affairs for the past two years. Prior to that, she worked for nearly two decades as a Lasallian educator and school administrator at her alma mater, Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Brooklyn, New York.
Hammonds has served La Salle Academy since 1999, and has held several roles, including school counselor, director of guidance, principal, interim president and member of the Board of Trustees.
