The Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools has released a new MEL 63 Bulletin titled “Lasallian Culture of Vocations, A Latin American Vision.” The authors represent the Lasallian Region of Latin America’s network for Evangelization, Pastoral Ministry and Catechesis, and include: María José de la Roca González; Brother Juan Camilo Calero Campo, FSC; Cecilia Vallejos Parás; Juan René Pérez Yánez; María del Carmen de Urquijo Carmona; and Brother César Pablo Campos Flores, FSC.
In the first of three chapters, the bulletin discusses the origin of RELAL’s network for Evangelization, Pastoral Ministry and Catechesis and how it came to highlight the significance of the culture of vocations. The second chapter explores the theoretical structure of the culture of vocations and compares that to the beliefs of Lasallians in Latin America. The final chapter looks at pastoral projects, plans and actions. Each chapter concludes with reflection questions.
