New President, Principal Appointed at San Miguel High School

MasonSan Miguel High School in Tucson, Arizona, has announced the selection of new leadership. David L. Mason was appointed as the new president, and Armando V. Valenzuela as the new principal. They begin their new roles July 1, 2016.

Mason is currently the principal of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mason’s professional experience includes director of School Support for the Cristo Rey Network, as well as teaching and administrative positions at Mountlake Terrace High School in Edmonds, Washington, and at Armando ValenzuelaCatalina Foothills High School in Tucson.

Valenzuela is currently the second-year principal and CEO of Yuma Catholic High School in Yuma, Arizona. Prior to serving at Yuma Catholic, Valenzuela was a teacher and administrator in the Sunnyside School District of Tucson for over 10 years and the principal of the Freshmen Academy at Desert View High School in Tucson for three years.
