De La Salle Elementary at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Memphis, TN, is starting the new school year with Daniel Salvaggio as the new principal.
Salvaggio graduated from Christian Brothers High School and Christian Brothers University (CBU), both in Memphis, and served as a Lasallian Volunteer from 2006-2008 at La Salle School for Boys in Albany, NY. Following his LV service he joined the Lasallian Association of New Catholic Educators (LANCE) program and began teaching at De La Salle at Blessed Sacrament. The LANCE program is a two-year teacher education program based at CBU in which participants teach underprivileged and at-risk youth while working towards their master’s degrees.
Salvaggio began the position May 21.
