New Visitors Meeting Draws Participants from Each Region

Every Region of the Institute was represented at the New Visitors meeting that took place in the Generalate from May 10 – 21. Brother Jerome Sullivan, who is one of three Auxilliary Visitors in the District of Eastern North America (DENA), was among the 16 new Visitors at the meeting in Rome.

This year’s theme was “Our Mission: Being Good Shepherds.” Session topics included the mission of the Visitor and the relationship between the District and the Generalate. The Secretary/Director of each Secretariat and Service in the Institute gave a presentation on the mission and function of his office which include Mission, Being Brothers Today, Lasallian Family and Association, Solidarity and Development, Communications, and Research and Resources. The Visitors also shared their best practices. This meeting is held once every two years.
