LSJI 2013 will explore the issue of violence as it rears its head throughout Chicago’s landscape. Stories will be shared by law enforcement representatives, community organizers, activists, victims, perpetrators, peace makers – offering perspectives shaped by experience. Traveling to various neighborhoods throughout the city, participants will have the opportunity to see (perhaps only from a distance!) the many wonders Chicago has to offer while considering the disparities easily observed.
