Registration Open for LWH Virtual Celebration

Registration is now open for the inaugural global celebration of Lasallian Women of Hope (LWH) on October 1, 2022. Themed “Streams of Hope: Creating New Pathways,” this event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), while being hosted at various locations throughout the world, including Chicago, Illinois; Dasmariñas, Philippines; Nairobi, Kenya; New York, New York; Oxford, England; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea; Providence, Rhode Island; Rome, Italy; and San Francisco, California. Hosted by La Salle Media, the virtual celebration will feature Lasallians from around the world who are engaged with LWH projects. They will share their stories about how the program has positively impacted the lives of women and girls. Three awards will also be presented, the Madame Nicole de La Salle Award, the Madame Maillefer Award and the Sister Louise Hours Award. The program will also feature time for discussion and two guest speakers, Laura Ballerini, communications director of the Solidarity and Development Secretariat of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, and Heather Ruple-Gilson, co-secretary of Lasallian Association for the Institute.

Beginning as a small project providing grassroots female empowerment, LWH provides sustainable solutions to mitigate obstacles impeding educational access. Through its grants, LWH delivers creative, effective, and durable solutions to educational inequities for girls and women.
