As the Year of Lasallian Spirituality approaches, the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) has planned a variety of Regional initiatives, events, resources, research and conversation on Lasallian spirituality. RELAN has published a new webpage highlighting Regional efforts and resources for this year. The 46th General Chapter of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools called for dedicating “the year 2025 to deepen and share Lasallian spirituality in the Church and world, on the occasion of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Bull of Approbation.”
On the new webpage, visitors will find two new resources: a Method of Interior Prayer Bookmark and a Method of Interior Prayer Screensaver. Both resources serve as a helpful tool to enter into a time of prayer and reflection using a simplified version of Saint John Baptist de La Salle’s Method of Interior Prayer. The screensaver resource is free and created for mobile devices.
To begin RELAN’s Year of Lasallian Spirituality initiatives, the Region will offer a webinar on “Spiritual Direction: Walking the Sacred Path, Together” featuring Holly Hoey Germann, theology teacher at Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, Minnesota.
In addition to organizing an art competition on Lasallian saints and heroes in spring 2025, the Region will host a spirituality retreat geared toward school leaders in fall 2025. More information on the retreat will be available in 2025.
