Christian Brothers Conference has released the newest Resource of the Month. This resource serves as a guide with reflection questions and dialogue prompts to accompany the 2021 book, “Meditations for the Time of Retreat: A Lasallian Home Retreat,” by Brother Vincent Pelletier, FSC.
This home-based retreat provides avenues for Lasallians and educators of all paths to bring the experience of retreat into their homes, classrooms, offices and communities. The book calls for personal introspection and contemplation through 16 meditations covering these five overarching themes:
- God’s plan for salvation and the Brother’s role in that plan
- The Brother as guardian angel
- The importance of the role of the Brother as educator of children in the church
- The spirit of zeal and an examination of fidelity to a spirit of zeal
- The judgment of a Brother’s fidelity to his vocation to his students
