Resurrection College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois, honored the Christian Brothers of the Midwest at its February Charity & Truth Gala with the 2020 Dreams to Reality Award. The all-girls school became the newest ministry sponsored by the Midwest District in August 2019 after the Sisters of the Resurrection recognized they could no longer operate the school because of their dwindling numbers.
The award recognizes organizations that have shown remarkable and generous support of young women attending Resurrection. In receiving the award, Brother Michael Fehrenbach, FSC, Midwest District Visitor, and Brother Larry Schatz, FSC, former Midwest District Visitor, acknowledged the important role women have always played in the Brothers’ life and accepted the honor in partnership with Resurrection’s leadership and the sisters.
