Resurrection College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois, is now officially part of the Lasallian family. The transfer of sponsorship from the Sisters of the Resurrection to the Christian Brothers of the Midwest was completed on August 28, 2020, which included the appointment of an interim president, Dr. Daniel Zepp.
The transition for the all-girls school began more than a year ago after a lengthy search to find a new sponsor for the school. The Sisters founded Resurrection College Prep in 1922 and, in recent years, realized the importance of finding a new sponsor as the number of Sisters decreased. While Resurrection College Prep is now a Lasallian school, it will continue to remain faithful to its heritage.
As part of the transition, Dr. Zepp assumed leadership from Sister Donna Marie Wolowicki, C.R., who had served as president since 2013. Prior to joining Resurrection College Prep, Dr. Zepp served as president of St. Petersburg Catholic High School in St. Petersburg, Florida. He holds a bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. from Boston College in Newton, Massachusetts.
