Lasallians are invited to support an effort to promote clean water and sanitation as part of an international effort that extends beyond the Lasallian family.
Each year, the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools collaborates with Lasallians worldwide to advocate on behalf of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Member states adopted these 17 goals in 2015 to advance efforts to end poverty, protect the planet, and promote peace and prosperity.
This year, Lasallian ministries are invited to advocate for SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. The Institute’s Solidarity and Development Secretariat has provided posters and educational activities to raise awareness, which include adaptable teaching/learning materials in various languages for students in kindergarten through higher education. Access those materials on the Solidarity and Development Secretariat’s website.
To further support this initiative, Lasallians are invited to support a fundraising activity to benefit a Lasallian school in Paraguay, San Isidro Labrador. This school’s academic year is often cut short because of a lack of water. More information on the school and to donate, visit La Salle International Foundation’s website.
