Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota continued its yearlong 100th anniversary celebration with a Centennial convocation on its Winona campus August 27.
The University honored Winona Bishop John Quinn and the Winona Diocese as part of the celebration. University president Brother William Mann and Board of Trustees chair, Michael Gostomski, presented Bishop Quinn with an honorary doctorate in pastoral ministry, one of the highest honors the university can bestow. Additionally, they presented the Winona Diocese with the Centennial Award in recognition of their century-long shared heritage and for its continued ministry.
Saint Mary’s launched the celebration in June 2012 with a cornerstone commemoration. Many events are planned for the academic year to mark the milestone and look forward to the university’s second century, including an all-school reunion and gala in June 2013.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
