“Lasallian DNA: What Drives Us to Serve” is the Lasallian theme for the 2022-2023 liturgical year.
Lasallians are invited to more deeply identify the common elements that define the spirit of the Lasallian mission and its Christian vision of culture. This theme provides an opportunity to encourage local, Regional and international conversation around questions such as:
- What does it mean to be Lasallian today?
- Who am I as a Lasallian?
- What value does the Lasallian charism add to society through its unique approach to Catholic education?
- What values characterize the Lasallian mission?
- How can Lasallians contribute to Pope Francis’ call to enter into synodal dialogue?
“Lasallian DNA” is the latest in a series of annual themes developed by the Brother Superior and General Council following the 45th General Chapter in 2014. The themes are intended to help Lasallians gain insights and develop integrated responses to extend and deepen the relevance of the Lasallian mission. “Lasallian DNA” is the ninth theme, which was announced prior to the 46th General Chapter in 2022.
De La Salle Today
The Spring 2023 issue of De La Salle Today explores the Lasallian theme for the 2022-2023 liturgical year, “Lasallian DNA: What Drives Us to Serve,” and the Lasallian identity that fuels that drive.
