The 48th Huether Lasallian Conference took place November 18-20, 2021, at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor Hotel.
We are excited to have close to 200 Lasallians gather in Baltimore for the 48th annual Huether Lasallian Conference! Out of an abundance of caution, we set the capacity of the conference at 200 to allow for social distancing in the meeting space. Working with the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor, we intend to deliver a safe event, allowing for our participants, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors to engage, collaborate and return to their ministries safely. Follow this year’s highlights and share yours on social media using #Huether2021.

Since early 2020, the world has grappled with many challenges presented by the pandemic and the sin of racism as realized by acts of racial injustice and violence against many communities of color. As Lasallians, we are continually examining and rebuilding ministries—and by extension our communities—so they are places of welcome, inclusion, equity and belonging for all of our brothers and sisters.
Our Lasallian mission calls us to foster an inclusive community where human dignity is foundational to who we are and what we do. As we navigate these challenging times, how can we ensure our ministries are promoting an anti-racist philosophy while educating for justice and solidarity? How can racial justice, gender, socioeconomic inequalities and all learning styles be addressed in our educational communities? How can we accompany our young people to be agents of change in society? Huether 2021 invites participants to enter into compassionate dialogue and have courageous conversations centered on the recently published Declaration on the Lasallian Educational Mission. Lasallians will work to fulfill the vision of the Declaration in our Region, so that everyone who walks through the doors of our ministries feels welcome, is treated equitably, and knows they belong.
